Resolutions Proposals will be accepted until May 15, 2025.

The 2025 ONA Convention is fast approaching, and we want to hear from you! This is your chance to help shape our union’s priorities and actions on the issues that matter most to our members, our locals, and our communities.

What is a Resolution Proposal?
A Resolution Proposal is formal request for ONA to adopt a specific position or take action on critical topics that affect nurses, health professionals, and the communities we serve. Whether it’s about safe staffing, workplace violence, or broader issues impacting the labor movement and working people, your resolution can make a difference.

Each Resolution Proposal should include:

  • A clear directive outlining the requested position or action.
  • Supporting information explaining why this position or action is necessary.
  • Proper formatting in accordance with the ONA Resolution Proposal guidelines.

Collaborate with Your Local Leaders
We encourage you to work with your local leaders to develop meaningful resolutions. This is a great opportunity to amplify the voices of your members, locals, and communities, ensuring ONA stands firm on the issues that matter most to us all.

Submission Details
Resolution Proposals will be reviewed by the ONA Resolution Proposal Committee to be considered during the 2025 Convention. Submit your proposals by May 15, 2025, to Dodie Dowden at ddowden@ohnurses.org.
