    For 2022, the symposium is virtual via CE4Nurses and features 3 different courses. 
    What Happened to You? A book discussion with implications for practice
    • A live-virtual, book-club style discussion about an insightful trauma-informed care book, What Happened to You? Conversations on Trauma, Resilience, and Healing
      • Learners will be able to share their thoughts and learn about various other resources during this session. Pre-reading of the book not required for attendance. The live discussion is June 22nd at Noon and a recording is planned to be made available.
    The Fundamentals of Human Trafficking for Health Care Professionals 
    Human Trafficking Nursing Education: Discoveries, Insights and Takeaways
    • These self-paced courses are recorded-only and will present foundational information about human trafficking, as well as strategies nurses can use to create, implement, and/or advocate for enhanced human trafficking identification and prevention programs in their workplaces. 
      • The courses will become available by 6/22/22 and registrants will get an email reminder when the courses open.

    This independent study has been developed for Ohio Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) to gain knowledge legal and ethical implications of prescribing schedule II drugs . This study discusses Chapter 4723-9 Ohio Administrative Code and other laws found in Chapter 4723 of the Ohio Revised Code specifically affecting APRNs.  

    Learning Outcome:  Learners will demonstrate an increased knowledge of advanced pharmacology and the legal and ethical implications related to prescribing in Ohio by achieving a score of 80% or better on a post-test.

    Criteria for Successful Completion:
    Complete all modules and knowledge checks.
    Completion of the post-test with a minimum of a 80% score and submission of an evaluation at the end of the course.
    4.0 Contact Hours of Category A (Nursing Law and Rules) and Pharmacology will be awarded for successful completion of this independent study.
